Let’s face it, 2020 has been rough! There are no two ways around it. It may even be the worst year ever so far for you. There is some good news about that though! “Oh, come on Brendan. What possible good news could there be?!?!?” Out of the toughest times, come the greatest opportunities!

One of my favorite books is, The Obstacle is the Way. In this book, author Ryan Holiday discusses how what’s in your way, is in fact the way to what you want! How many times have you started something, only to fall off track? How many times have you felt like you had it all going right, only to have a wrench thrown into the mix and have it all disappear? Well, 2020 has been the ultimate wrench. Therefore, it is the ultimate opportunity to learn how to NEVER get knocked off track again!

One step at a time…

The first step is to learn how to focus on the things that are most important to you. Then you have to prioritize those above everything else! By doing this, we can ensure that no matter what life throws at us, we will always make progress towards our goals! That’s right, we can actually make 2020 the best year ever (in hindsight at least)! By following this process, it will be the year you learned how to make sustained progress towards your goals! 

This week, I’ll be sharing my 5 step process for exactly how you can achieve this! Tomorrow we’ll be discussing step one…establishing your non-negotiables. Then we’ll discuss habit stacking – taking what you already do and using that to build healthy habits that move you forward. We’ll also break down how to make sure your new habits stick, how to prioritize what to tackle first, and finally what your mindset should be as you begin this endeavor.
